Human kidney model

A human kidney model is a representation of the kidney that can be used to study its structure and function:

  • Structure

Human kidney models can show the kidney’s internal structure, including the renal cortex, medulla, renal pelvis, ureters, and vessels. Some models can also show the renal and adrenal vessels, the papilla, and the nephron.

  • Size and shape

Human kidney models can be highly detailed and accurately represent the kidney’s size and shape.

  • Pathologies

Some models can show kidney pathologies, such as kidney stones, and how they compare to a normal kidney.

  • Uses
Human kidney models can be used by students to learn about the kidney, by doctors to teach patients about kidney diseases, and by teachers in the classroom.
